My breast cancer was caught early, while it was still non-invasive. This meant that the cancer was still inside the breast ducts and hadn’t spread to the surrounding tissue. It was such a small tumor in such an early stage that I initially believed it wouldn’t affect my life too significantly.

I had no idea that 4 millimeters of cancer would disrupt my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. When my mind was spinning at night in worry, I wondered if something was wrong with me. Why was such a small instance of cancer throwing my life into disarray?
